Shells of their former selves

What was once a majestic landmark on Bank Street at Somerset in Centretown barely stands as a shell with iron beams holding up its few remaining exterior walls.  The former home of the Prentiss family from the early thirties at 234 O’Connor Street remains today and for at least a decade abandoned, boarded up and in a constant state of decay. Koffman Signs at 146 Nepean Street, the Imperial Arcade on Bank Street and the list unfortunately goes on.

One giant first step…

One giant first step…

This morning I walked to City Hall to file my nomination as a candidate in Somerset Ward.  It was an amazing experience.  I was the first to arrive and the young lady at the counter told me she had to reference the procedures manual as this only happens every four years.

I am very excited about being a candidate in Somerset Ward and I am extremely grateful for all the support I have received from my family and friends.
